Building home theater speaker ?'s....

Ran all my speaker wire in a conduit in the "speaker area." the area is about 18x15. All the speakers are at the right angles, just not heights for the rears and sides. Doing a 7.1 system. Ordered two sets of energy rc micros. The back 4 speakers are ceiling mounted. Front 3 wall mounted. Looking at subs new egg has both energy s10.3 and klipsch rw-10d the latter being 200 and 20 bucks more for the energy. Plan on using a denon avr-1912 to run it. Kinda on a budget but the total purchases have been under. I can always upgrade later. Any thoughts/ideas or suggestions.

Well I pulled the trigger and have 2 sets of rc micros and a s10.3 sub. Worried about the 120-150 hz gap between speakers and sub. Just couldn't pass up the price. Maybe down the line I will order take classic system and put the left overs in my bedroom or just get a nice front 3. Thoughts?

Well at least what you have can get you started. Experiment with sub placement and XO points to get the most out of what you have. Also, don't neglect room treatments. Thick batts of fiberglass insulation wrapped in cloth is fairly cheap and when placed correctly, will really improve the accoustics in your room. However, big thick corner traps made from OC703 stacked floor to ceiling are not very cheap. But it's good for cleaning up the midbass area.

Yeah I was really worried about the 30hz gap but the more I read the less worried I am. I listen mainly to movies and will start looking for deals on the front 3 if it doesn't meet my expectations and then just put the micros in my den or bedroom.

Plus I can't even move into my house till I finish building it. If the speakers aren't up to the task I plan on upgrading to maybe rc-10s and a rc-lcr for the fronts leave the micros as rears and surrounds and just be stuck with an extra center.
