Having issues connecting Turtle Beach XP500 (MW3 Delta) to PC via USB?

Got my first gaming headset last night and so used them in-game and that aspect is great. Today I downloaded the 'Advanced Sound Editor' and installed it on my Windows 7 64bit machine because I realized the MW3 Delta headset came with a code to download additional voice prompts of game character voices. I really want to install these because the default voice on these is lame sauce. I created an account on the TB site and downloaded both the Advanced Sound Editor as well as the Voice Prompt file. So far so good.

Now comes the problem. When I plug the headset into the laptop via USB I get a voice prompt in the headset that says they are connected via USB. My PC has a popup that says driver install failed. I've tried finding drivers from Turtle Beach to make these work and can't seem to find anything. Whenever I launch the Advanced Sound Editor it will launch but not connect. I get a prompt a few seconds later that tells me that it can't find the headset and my options are to Retry and Cancel. I've tried rebooting bot the laptop as well as the headset to no avail. I don't know how much I'll mess with the EQ's and all the other settings but I would like to install the voice pack as anything is better than the default male voice on these things.

Does anyone have any help?

After a couple hours of struggling I was finally able to get them to connect through various combinations of deleting the Advanced Sound Editor, rebooting the laptop, rebooting the headset and unplugging/plugging in the USB cable. I think the download of Advanced Sound Editor I got the first time was corrupt because after I cleaned everything off real good & downloaded a fresh copy it seemed to work fine the first time out.

Now to figure out how to apply these voice packs I downloaded....

I appreciate the link but I searched that long and hard before ever posting here and it didn't have my answer.
