That is correct. This is because at 59.94Hz, each frame takes up about 17ms, and a frame being doubled extends that frame out or another 17ms or so. 17ms is a short enough, especially with typical movie material, where it is not easily seen.
23.976Hz frames takes up about 42ms. This is more than twice as long as the frame in 59.94Hz.
And I'm wondering if this can be solved, or will all media players have this problem? Does everybody have this stuttering issue with various framerates and nobody notices it? Or do they just live with it? I had no idea there would be this issue with different framerates with these players.
The request is in to adjust output frequency depending on source material. I don't know if this will be available with the EP600 G2 or EP950, but we will make an effort to investigate and try. To be on the safe side, I would recommend prospective buyers to not count on this being available as a firmware upgrade in the future.
