I never did like the Sony UK cover series, it's always baffled me how popular they are.
That kind of stuff is popular?
While usually horrible covers of classic releases (King of Kings, The Bible) do not get any love from the custom cover designers I hope that somebody will at least take on Lawrence and do a cover that is based on a movie poster at the time of the theatrical release.
No doubt the same box will be released stateside, not least since the picture seems to show the American release (English text everywhere, MPAA logos on the discs). The specs for the regular two-disc release state that the "plus d'1 heure de making of" is In Love With the Desert, which runs 83 minutes. It was released on DVD in France, but apparently nowhere else.

Amazon's pre-order link does show this as the U.S. artwork so you're probably right!

Or maybe they just borrowed the artwork in the absence of having anything else suitable to use! So have we gotten off-topic by talking about the French and now US releases?
I notice the box says "LIMITED EDITION" (of course). Does anyone care to speculate what this might mean for a U.S. release...?
Looking forward to Lawrence of Arabia on Blu-Ray this November in the US on November 13th. That new 4K transfer will look fantastic. And extras should exciting as well.

No commentary?! One of the most popular, praised, important and beloved films of all time and they couldn't find one person to do a commentary on it?! They've got to be taking the piss.

Full details have not been announced yet. That list probably came from TheDigitalBits post.

Who cares? Really. It's the MOVIE, you know, Lawrence of Arabia. I need to listen to some faux historian pontificate for four hours telling me what I'm seeing? No thank you. BTW, this restoration is astonishing. I saw it last night - and it's going to make an absolutely incredible Blu-ray.
I really do want this on blu-ray but I'm not at all willing to pay the price Amazon is currently asking for it (over $67 US). If it comes down to a reasonable price, or they offer up a simpler blu-ray package with reasonable pricing, it will definitely go into my movie library..

Me, obviously. Otherwise I wouldn't have written the post.

Just go to Amazon U.K. and get that version. It should fit inside your parameters.
