NEC MT830+ Banding (Official Troubleshooting Thread)

Hey there, I've got a NEC MT830+ with some banding going on on the left and right sides, pictured in this post that I made in the wrong forum section. I originally thought it was a bad LCD panel or misaligned mirror, but I found that if I use the setting in the menu that flips or mirrors the image for ceiling or rear mounted projectors, it actually will instantly make the problem significantly worse, but then can be instantly put back to the way it was pictured by disabling the flip/mirror settings.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Maybe I should've been more clear - I'm not looking to buy a new projector, just to possibly fix this one. If anyone has any ideas for that, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

New projector. Why? It would cost you WAY more to fix that then repair it, and it is extremely outdated.

May be, but I'm not really looking for a new one.
