Center speaker for B&W 602/601 Surround

Hi

I am building a dedicated HT and plan to use a set of 602S1 as the L/R speakers and 601s1 as the surrounds for a 7.2 system. I had a CC6 center speaker, but it was severely damaged a few years ago. Which Center speaker would suit the 602 best. I could get a cc6 again but never felt i truely matched the 602's.

any advice?

I would recommend a B&W LCR-60. It will be sonically matched, and can be found used anywhere from $100-250 depending on condition. I have one with my 604 S3 fronts.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but have a q for Tweaked05.

I recently heard the 604S3s and quite liked it. Is it comparable to 683s . More importantly, is it worth the upgrade?

Also, where do i buy them from? I can't seem to find any online dealers that sell these. Ebay doesn't have any either

The 683 is the direct replacement for the 604's. I haven't actually compared them side by side, but I hear that a lot of people prefer the 604's saying that they sound a little fuller or warmer that the new 600 series speakers. You can't buy them anymore because the are EOL (End of life). Ebay is a good place the check, but only for used.
