What does the 103 offer compared to the hook up with a Darbee while watching cable or satellite?

I have the Darbee in the chain. But the Oppo has the video process Qdeo by Markell that upscales my cable to 1080p and it does it very well. It looks like blu ray quality. It's really good and the 3D conversion makes my cable looks good too since its no ghosting and the depth can be turned up high
The Darbee looks the same to me as when the W7000 is switched to 3 on the detail enhancement setting.

3 looks too grainy to me, its over the top to me. I like 2 sometimes for 3D but I settle for 1 for 2D. When its at 0, it looks too soft. I keep the Darbee at 40. Both works well with the Oppo video processing too

I have directv going through the 103 and then out through a Darbee. Perfect combination I think. And j2037, I think the Darbee is somehow smoother than the benq's detail enhancer. The Oppo 103, and the Darbee to the w7000 are all a great combo I think, I'm really happy with them. I think Santa may be adding a Denon 3313ci to the mix so hopefully that will pump everything up another notch. Anyone else have the 3313?
That's funny, I was at best buy yesterday when I saw it. Perfect for me and it has 3 outputs. Gonna save to get it

Nice to here you like it, planing on getting one after Xmas. Right now I am using a DVDO Edge green and find its upscaling very weak.

I just purchased one of these from Amazon and was looking for a little advice. This unit has a dead silent iris and the lens is great as text is very sharp across the whole screen. The problem is a small dust blob on the top right portion of the screen. I can't stop looking for it when ever there's a dark scene. So my question is, whats the best way to return this to Amazon. Should I return as defective or I just don't want/need it anymore. I just don't want to have to go thru BenQ for warranty work on a brand new unit.
Also, I am using this with Comcast cable and a Oppo bdp-103, and on all picture and color temp settings the IRE setting is grayed out. Is this right? On my Benq6000 it's not. Btw its a hdmi connection.
Thanks, Bill

If you choose defetive Amazon will either send another or you can get a refund. They will also pay ffor shipping and arrange for UPS to pickup your projector. Very painless to do.
I would deffenitly send it back to Amazon and not deal with Benq.

I'm sure its dust or debris. It probably happened in assembley. It's in the light path. It was there from the first start up.

I just sent one back that was also a oct. build. The dynamic iris was greyed out on this one to. Also, I couldn't change any of the preset modes or color temps when in 3d . In 3d it always showed it was in anamorphic and you can't change any of these setting either. I also couldn't change the ire setting as it was greyed out too. I am using a hdmi connection.

when I used 3D on my Acer H5360, I was very nauseated and became sick twice until I figured out it was the 3D. Then, on my JVC RS40 & 55, it gave me eye fatique and I constantly fell asleep on movies. However, on the W7000 I don't have any problems at all. I don't use the same glasses, I use the Optoma ZD201s.

Can anyone tell me how does the projector switch from one mode to the other? I mean, if your in a menu of a media player that runs at 60fps and you start a movie that runs at 24fps, how does the projector switch from one fps to the other? Does it take a long tome to do it?
I have an Infocus SP8602 and that is taking a weary long time, like 10 secs or more to switch modes with an annoying blue screen the whole time.

I was wondering why the film mode option is grayed out, default is on. Even when playing blu-rays. Also has anyone had their Benq professionally calibrated. So far happy with this projector, compared to my LG LED the blacks are good, I do not notice a real strong Soap Opera effect but the colors seem great and the size makes me giggle. My black ire is also grayed out.
I had this same problem when I had a Mistubishi HD1000u. I switched to an Infocus 7210 and the problem went away. My thought is that it had to do with the color wheel speed of the projector. The Infocus had a faster color wheel speed. My headaches and nausea went away when I switched to it.
