Soundbar Speakers & Audyssey Calibration Proceedure?

I have a Def Tech Mythos SSA50 5 channel Soundbar, a Def Tech Prosub 800 sub woofer and a Denon 989 full function AVR.

I would like to run an Audyssey calibration with this setup if practical. The surround sides are obviously in the soundbar. Will this confuse the Audyssey Auto calibration? Are there any settings or procedures to follow with a soundbar versus a conventional surround setup when doing an Audyssey calibration?

See your owner's manual where you'll find the following statement:
Quote:


DO NOT USE THE AUTO SETUP FEATURE IF IT IS INCLUDED
IN YOUR RECEIVER. Because the SSA produces surround sound from
a single front mounted speaker, the auto setup feature will not operate
correctly and will actually make your system sound worse.

It then proceeds to explain how to set up the speakers manually.

DEF TECH SSA42 w/ audysee on Denon 2112. these items are being shipped to me now w/ def tech super cube III for 12X15 bedroom with cutown on either side of a short wall where the bar will be set-up under the 50" panny moniter.

questions: been warned about room correction, but reviewer have suggested turn off delay or speaker distances. set three centers/sat's at 0 and the outter surrounds at +3 or 4 db.What do others experience with this set-up as opossed to only using the bass management?

i am hoping that others' experience will save time and aggravation. what was suggested above came fromsteve guttenberg who has a strong audiophime backround and made him pleased?
