Very well IMHO, detailed mid-high, strong mid-bass, extreme presence with a good live feeling.

The only downside is the high fs (70hz), but you know, are surround!

Very very nice, love the tweeter wiring!

noob question: why go with a horn for a surround speaker?

Your horns appear to be of the narrow dispersion variety, any plans to upgrade?

Who made the horns? They appear to be nicely constructed.

Absolutely not, these horns sound like so much to me, at 1 mt. the dispersion is very good up 5 kHz, and 20deg. 20khz

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but an exponential flare is not a tractrix, and the trax image attached in the last post doesn't seem to be the same as yours based upon dimensions.

Who's the manufacturer of the expo flare you used?

+1 those don't look like any autotech horns I've ever seen.

In fact, I was wrong, my are tractrix horns and not exp.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.

The horn of my last post is this, always tractrix

Another great European horn artisan manufacturer.

Hope this help

This trax on the image is similar to my front.

Similar in profile, but dimensionally much different. Without any other commentary, I thought you were implying they were your units.

I had some trax turned up out of laminated mdf for my BMS 4590 some years ago that were about the same size as the Autotech's you linked. Beamed like a mofo at HF and I went back to my Arai A290.

I see you've said they're Stereo lab units, which was my original guess.

They're from Stereo Lab (click the first link in the quote of your last post) and they've been available since about 2000-2001.

I think the ones he bought are from Stereo Lab?

Autotech now has the tractrix models and quite a few other designs, only in a high gloss finish. They're the best built horns I've ever seen. Super thick and heavy. The picture on their site doesn't do them justice. I never got around to posting photos, but I should get some. When I removed them from the pallet and opened them up, I was really impressed.

I'm thinking about ordering some of the 350's for myself because they look so nice. But I'm trying to find a deep dark blue color first before making a decision. Might go with the funky Iwata 600's or E-JMLC-600's just to try them out though.

The current pallet is not completely filled yet, so there is room for more if anyone needs them. They sent me a new price list that takes effect AFTER this current group buy.....and it's higher on the larger items including the tractrix. That's another reason why I might get some of the tractrix 350's.

I don't try Autotech horns, but I've only seen some pieces at home of my friends and they are well made IMHO

I try only Stereo Lab horns and I find them very good, the final result with a BMS 4590 and a little eq is exciting.
