For anyone using or considering using black spandex or speaker grill cloth as your masking material or screen borders - do either of them do a good job absorbing light at the edges?
I am likely going to place my L/R speakers a bit outside the 16:9 width (I am going 2.37 AR screen) of my DIY AT screen and so can't go with solid masking panels like I originally planned. However, I am worried that neither of the black AT materials would do a good enough job really sucking up light (in the case I overscan slightly for 2.4AR movies).
Thoughts from anyone who has done this or seen it done?
