Is a Sub EQ necessary when using YPAO?

I've seen conflicting information about whether or not YPAO will eq a subwoofer with fierce room modes, or whether I should use a Behringer FDP type box to sort it out. I've been running an integrated amplifier with no line level sub out, and am moving up to a Yahama RX-V667 that provides subwoofer line output. Does the YPAO have enough eq points to tune the sub, or should I add a box inline?

That version of YPAO does not eq the sub at all. It will set levels and distances only.

YPAO does not EQ the sub till you reach the Aventage 2xxx.
