Awesome looking room! Did you do any kind of lighting behind the screen to showcase the front speakers? If you have a photo of the speakers showing through the screen I would love to see that.

First off, AMAZING basement!!!!
Have you tried switching the cable box connection to just HDMI instead of component/optical? This would tell you if it is the optical connection put a wrench in your works or not. I am assuming that you ran it this way beacuse of having only 3 HDMI inputs on the 809? I have a 4x HDMI splitter that I have not hooked up yet but I am going all inputs to the splitter and then to my Onkyo and then out to LCD and Projector. This way audio and video are going HDMI in and HDMI out.

First off very very nice basement. Over that's a dream basement nice job man.

You might try getting a HDMI 4x4 matrix this would allow expandability of your current system.
This one is rack mountable and fairly inexpensive at $499..

Yep, i went with a 4 x 2 matrix from Monoprice for my room. Should be finishing it all up and getting everything set up in the next couple months.
