Anthem MRX 700 dillema

I have a huge dillema.

I own Yamaha rx-v3800.

I was planning to buy Anthem MRX 700. But....

As I planned to sell my Yammy, one guy said that he wanted to take my Yamaha and give me Pio SC-07 + cash!

He has 4ohm speakers and Pio is not driving them as we would like it.

Anyway, now I have this dillema. Should I do the switch and not spend any money (even get some), or should I just go with the Anthem?

I have to admit that I listen to a lot of music and you could say that it is 50/50 divided between music and movies.

Is Pio better in sound terms than Yamaha or you think that Anthem blows them away?

I would need answer by tommorow, if possible, because I would have to do the switch tommorow.

Thanks

Can't really help you with the comparison as I don't know enough about the Pioneer, but when making up your own mind, be sure to consider Anthem Room Correction (ARC) in the MRX. It's the bees knees. (I use an Anthem Statement D2v myself.)

Of course if you trust the "swapper" you could get the Pioneer plus cash, re-sell the Pioneer, and still get the MRX.

So you say that ARC is that better than Yamaha and Pioneer?

I tend to think same thing, but wanted someone more experienced to confirm it.

Maybe I could also get some thoughts on Pio vs Yammy vs Anthem?

Thanks to Bob again!

Anthem ARC is excellent and perhaps the best room correction system. Although, I haven't heard Trinnov which I've heard is excellent.
