Zappiti, Yadis, and MyMovies for Dune - Page 2

I never had an issue with Zappiti or Yadis pulling information for ISO files. Both Zappiti and Yadis will show Blue Ray on top of the front cover as well. I don't remember how I did that with Zappiti since I am using 10Muse now. I only do MKV and M2TS file formats now. I re-did all of my BR folder structures to MKV with MKVMerge. The few ISO's I had were turned into MKV.

I'm not having any issues with zappiti either. However yadis only seems to scrape/import one IS when I have both a bd and DVD ISO.

Try to add [BLuRay] and [DVD] to your folders' names (at least to one of them) to differentiate both version. If they have the exact same name it will be considered as duplicates and might not be correctly scrapped.

Once scrap is ok, just create a saga to group the 2 versions into one "box". You will be able to see the difference buy using the box display (it's an option to check in the config menu, by default yadis is only using posters instead of boxes)

These are pictures from 10Muse iPad app. So, far I'm pretty impressed and please with it. The app cost $19.99 by the way, it used to be $39.99.

Looking good! Glad after all my bugging they dropped the price (and added a free component for t hose who don't want to use an iPad but want the jukebox). Developer is always extremely responsive on mss as well which is a big plus.

Yeah, everything is well. My wife was happy about it because she thought she was going to be able to watch the movies / tv shows on her iPad, but she was disappointed when I said yeah, that's not going to happen lol. I've having issues with 4 movies that the scrapper wasn't able to scrap. I manually added the poster and wall, but it won't update on the dune jukebox, but it shows fine on the iPad.

man that does look really good. Just to confirm, you don't have to use the iPad app to use it right?

Does the 10muse work as a front end like dune explorer etc
I dont use network at all just separate hdd's
looks very nice

Is there any way around the restriction of the folder and .MKV needed to be named the same thing for 10Muse to import? I have all of my Blu Rays ripped into individual folders and really don't want to mess with renaming things.

Also, is there a display option for 10Muse of a video wall (vs just the single line)?

Here I am with yet another Zappiti question. I am currently running version 2.1.2755.1. I have really had no issues with it. I understand that the current version is 2.8.8.0. One of the reasons I never upgraded, was because 1) it is just working great and 2) I remember dialogue some time ago about how if you updated past a certain version you had to either purchase a license or buy a Zappiti player, etc. I don't want to do either. In reading the info on their page now, it appears that you only have to buy a Zappiti player if you live inside France. Is this correct? I don't wan to upgrade, only to find out I know need to buy something. I understand if I want the app for iphone/ipad I need to buy that, but I'm not so interested in that. I am very interested, however, in the music options...if they have it working right.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

Hey, how'd you get over here biggrin.gif

I know at the time you just had to provide proof that you did not live in France to get a Zappiti license. I am not sure if they still have that implemented or if you now have to actually purchase a license. I would highly recommend the current version though over the older one you are using in terms of speed/functionality

I will reach out to the developer and see what he says. How well does the music function work?

Sorry, should have added that what I wrote only applied to videos. I believe to have the music functionality you actually need to own a zappiti player. You can still set up music on your PC but you won't be able to export to your Dune (I don't use my Dunes to listen to music so no biggie for me)

got it. Do you mind me asking what you use for music playback? We have an ESCIENT that has served us very well, but without the need for movie playback from it, I would like to sell it. Just haven't found something for music playback yet. Tried the Apple TV and wasn't impressed.

Nothing to do with yadis. Those folders are added by windows when you plug the drive through USB on your pc.
Thankyou again Mr Eric
they are easy to delete on the dune
thought I was doing something wrong
is there away to stop it or is it automatically done
Dune Explorer never did this
thanks

i don't think you can prevent windows to do that. I think those folders are hidden folders, so it's always there but if you keep hidden folder hidden in windows config, then you could think that it's not there (but in reality it's always there...).

Just added a couple of movies to 2 different drives and the folders didnt show up
Will just delete them if they come up again
I am liking yadis and will do my tv series down the track
looking at a program to automatically filter out dune explorer files in many folders leaving just the movie in the folder
will save heaps of time--been looking at one program this week and will do some tests
it will be easy then to change over to yadis on hdd's
take too long to do each one manually.
just use the windows search tool to find all dune explorer files in your hdd (filter using only the file extension like *.jpg). then just delete it. Can't be easier... wink.gif
post #52 of 63
that sounds great--will give it a whirl

tried it and didnt work
the drive was connected via usb 3.0 dock
the search didnt come up with anything
typed exactty as the files in the folders--there is 8 DUNE EXPLORER files per folder to delete
most movies are iso
there is about 100 movie folders per drive each with one movie as iso

To Mr Eric,
I found a program to delete all the files of DUNE EXPLORER in folders on a hard drive
I have it down to 5 minutes to do 140 movie folders each with 6 different type of files
It worked great and left only the movie plus a empty folder that doesnt matter.

Also in Yadis 3.0 would it be possible for Fred to do the same thing as DUNE EXPLORER does--that is it has in the movie wall the type in words of each movie.
It means you have the cover then under it the name of the movie--it helps as some movie covers are hard to read
this could be an option for those who like it and those who dont

My concern also with yadis is Fred is the only one doing yadis and if anything happened to him or he stopped having anything to do with yadis we might get stuck like whats happened just recently not being able to scrape movies.
It happened to DUNE EXPLORER but luckily the developer has recently made it open source so that it can have fixes, updates etc from others.
I know he lost some work recently and love Yadis and hopefully Fred will make it secure for someone else or others to follow on with his baby in the future.
Its a great program and a credit to him and I would love it to be secure for the future.
Yadis is now my favorite for media wall
Thanks

Just some thoughts:)

1. about the name under the cover in the movie wall : you can ask for an evolution in 3.0 directly on the yadis redmine here http://yadis.whisperingvault.net/projects/yadis/issues (Fred is reading it and uses it for his roadmap).
2. we already had this discussion with Fred. For now he doesn't want to open the code, yadis is his baby and he wants to keep full control on its evolution and roadmap. But I'm sure that if he's fed up with it and doesn't want to work on it anymore, he will do like Dune Explorer and give the code to the community. But for now, he is the only "owner" of yadis wink.gif
