The black on top and bottom were almost 4 inches in apiece! that cut off 8 inches of my 51inch screen.

It cut off the screen but didn't cut off the movie.

I have FD5 at home but havent' watched it yet. I also have the FD 3D (4th one). FD4 3D has nice deep rich colors. I can't imagine that FD5 is washed out and dull. Others here haven't mentioned anything about what you are seeing either. I'll reserve any other thoughts till I watch a bit of my copy but I doubt I'll be disappointed.

Sorry about the minor spoiler, didn't realize I could use a spoiler tag, but honestly it was very minor and the person had asked how it related to the other films. I will do that in the future, thanks for letting me know.

The answer to life, the universe, and everything... [Spoiler Below]:

WOW, if your signature and website are true, you are really putting all your personal information on the internet? and people wonder how identity theft happens

Of course it's not, I stole that poor bastard's identity years ago... JK

I have had my website and all my info out there for 15 years, and luckily have not had an issue. Thanks for the warning.

The movie's awesome. Definitely in the Top 3 3D bluray releases. The 3D has good depth/pop and the story is actually pretty good.

I still can't believe the depth of the 3D images of that film. Even the opening credits were really impressive!

Ok so I've read alot of people say the intro is worth it alone. I was expecting it to be incredible but it really wasn't. The whole movie the 3D was ok but not great. Then I had to watch Journey to the Center of the Earth again just to see some great 3D. And the intro scene with the bug and it's attenae in your face, I noticed it didn't look as impressive, a little bit of ghosting. So I'm thinking something happened to my TV/PS3 in the last couple of days.

My TV is a panasonic 50ST30 and my bd player is my PS3. Are there any things I can check (settings etc. . ) on my TV and PS3 to see if I can find out what's wrong? Like I said 3D is still viewable, but it just doesn't seem to have that same vivid "POP" that I remember it having.

Aw man, that sucks! I'm really sorry to hear that...I hope nothing too serious is wrong, but if you weren't "wow'ed" by FD5's 3D, I think you're right....something must have happened. I'd check in other forums here on AVS in addition to this one, cause there are a lot of very sharp folks around who can probably figure out what's up.

Yes I'm gonna post the same thing in 3D components. I'm gonna check out IMAX under the sea. The Potato Cod fish. I watched that moment dozens of times. So I should beable to tell a difference if it's not as impressive as it used to be, then I'll know something's wrong.
