MKV fast forward and rewind

I've ripped a bunch of movies, both BD and DVD, using MakeMKV. I play back the movies in MPC-HC. I can't get the movies to fast forward or rewind. I can skip chapters forward and back, however. I have the latest versions of these programs running on Win7 32bit. Is there some setting I need to adjust or is this just how it works?

Thanks!

You can make the forward and back buttons skip ahead in the settings. You cant fast forward though.

You can select the amount of time the buttons will jump ahead. I have mine set for 10 second jumps on the next track button, and 5 minutes on the ffwd button.

Where do you make the setting to have the FF button "skip ahead 10seconds"?

To set the amount of skip:

View / Options / Tweaks / Jump distances (small medium, large in ms)

To set the keys for the skip:

View / Options / Keys / Command: Jump Forward, Backward (small, medium, large)

You can set the keystrokes and the "App Command" (which corresponds to WMC remote buttons)

This is in the MPC-HC menu?

You can fastforward using the "increase rate" command, but I don't see anything that does a rewind unfortunately.
