Combat system in ME1 is almost the same as ME2. Only differences I can think of is the default keys are different and the guns have an overheating system instead of using ammo. Oh, and companions need a line of sight in order for you to give orders.
I think the worst thing about ME2 is probing planets for resources. Thankfully, ME1 has none of that.
Yeah, ME1 is slightly better IMO, more mystery and more of the central story unraveling. I also thought the planet probing was horrible. Driving the Mako around i kinda fun i think, not realistic at times depending on the route you take, but the learning curve there and its kinda fun to try and drive is as straight, efficiently [and as upright] as you can.
Theres no dragging the ship around the galaxy with your mouse this time either. And "praise the gods!" hopefully not in ME3 either.
I think it helps to use your imagination and think about the realities the story elements infer and also stopping and checking out some of the the views, theres some really good art there.
@HeadRusch Yeah, i'd recommend stopping what your doing and go buy ME1 right now and start playing it today.
