Tripp Lite APS Trouble

Hello,

I was having trouble with my Ceton card whenever the power goes out. If my htpc with the card is improperly shut down like during a power outtage, I have to go to every HTPC and re-configure. Maybe there is something I am missing here...

So I bought a Tripp Lite unit thinking it would help. I downloaded their software from the website and it installs, when I click on the application in the start menu, literally nothing happens...

Anyways, does anyone have any experience with Tripp Lite and their HTPC or server? Is there any other software out there that can manage the APS unit?

Thanks

Best thing is to go to the Tripp Lite site and see if sumbody else is having the same prob. Unlikely that any third party would have the control software.

I just picked up a couple tripp-lite units. Their software uses Java I believe. I'll check in a minute. I do remember that it was a bit of a pain to figure out. It's pretty decent if you can make it work. The other thing to keep in mind is that you can just use Windows built in software it will do what you need. Basically turning off the system when you battery gets to a certain level. That's really all you need. So if you can't figure out the software don't worry about to much.

Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware that Windows could utilize the battery and turn it off when it needs to...
