2012 Oppo or other new BD player coming out this year worth waiting for? - Page 4

I was so ready to pull the trigger on the 93 to replace my Panasonic BLT-cheat player. I wonder if the video/sound processing will be better than the Emotiva UMC-1....if so, nothing but direct mode, here I come!

lol I was tool lazy to run downstairs and check it out at the time, and didn't realize I put "cheat" instead of "cheap." I got it from Target for $90 or so. It actually was a decent player. I really like the simplicity of the menu.

I just received the new OPPO BDP-103, and very happy so far. I have an Emotiva UMC-1 for a processor, so using the OPPO processor instead has cleaned up my video a bit on the projection. I don't have any measurements, but the up converting of the OPPO appears to have reduced the "grainy" picture I got before.
