Overnight Sensation for Nearfield?

Thread Starter
I'm a DIY noob and was wondering if the Overnight Sensation and MTM version (I'd use as center) would perform well in nearfield? Is there any modification I should do to increase performance?

*Also if there are any sub $100 speaker kits out there that might be better I'd like to know *

Thanks, MastaPlanMan

I built a pair and use them in my home office. I run the line out from my laptop into an older Sony receiver and I love them. I use them without a subwoofer, but the office space is small and they are placed close to wall boundaries where I get some reinforcement in the bass. They sound very full even at low volumes, but they'll play cleanly at volumes louder than I would ever listen! Build them...they are really excellent little performers!

I doubt you'd need a center in nearfield applications.
