A thread five years back, urging e-mails to rweaver@hd.net, requesting HDNet restore periodic transmission of its 10-minute test-pattern sequence, seemed to have worked. Here's an older thread , with a sublink to an image of the ending resolution-wedge part of the patterns, outlining how to measure resolution with the wedges.
Sent a request earlier, forwarded by Weaver to their programming dept. and confirming they've dropped it for the moment, so perhaps additional requests will work again.
Curious here, after using TWC or RCN for decades, with an upcoming switch to FIOS and a '09 pro plasma (resolving the full 1920X1080 from the S-M test Blu-ray), if HDNet via FIOS provides more than the ~1440 lines max horizontal rez via HDNet/TWC. Also, with HDNet's test pattern on my TWC 8300HD HD DVR for > 6 years, found it's nice to have the sequence instantly available. (Of course, for max rez measurements, it only involves one transmission channel.)-- John
