While it's true that the 49er's won the game fair and square, I don't think that they can exactly be considered "one of the two best teams in the NFC." In the game Saturday, it was very unfortunate for my team (the Saints) that Pierre Thomas was knocked unconscious, fumbled inside the 10 yard line, suffered a concussion, and could not return to the game, all at the same time and in the opening drive. With Mark Ingram already being on injured reserve, that obviously put a damper on the Saints running game. Had Thomas not been unconscious, he probably wouldn't have fumbled. The Saints likely would have come away from that drive with points, either 7 or 3.
As for your superbowl caliber QB, the best he can do with 5 turnovers is win by 4 points? The Saints came very close to beating your team, in spite of 5 turnovers, and in spite of losing 1/2 of the their running game on the opening drive. Sour grapes? Sure. But I believe you'll get a taste of them soon enough.
