Easy 'Day 1' double-dip for me .... we need more Redford on blu ! .... two of my personal favorites: 'The Horse Whisperer' and 'An Unfinished Life'....both feature dramatic landscape backdrops that beckon for hidef rendering

Wow! I MEAN WOW! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! (Yes, I'm shouting but I can't restrain myself) LIVER EATIN' JOHNSON COMES TO BLURAY! Not my day but my YEAR was just made with this news! And just in time for my birthday.

I just hope it turns out to be a great transfer although I'll buy it anyway.

What he said ! -- and my birthday is in May also ....admittedly, I never thought I'd see J.J. on blu anytime soon. Thank you Warner, and may you have the foresight to muster some semblance of a restorative effort...

Watched this today. Don't expect a razor-sharp BD image, in fact it looks more like a high-bitrate DVD. But it's still by far the best looking this film has ever been on home video.

DVDBeaver gives it a pretty glowing review (much better than DVD version according to reviewer)

Umm, okay. It looked ten times better than any DVD to me. Not even close.

A revaluation.
I liked the lOOk of the DVD.
I LUV the lOOk of the BD!

Detail, fleshtones, a bit of a sense of depth, colors, with a tight grain structure all add up too a very enjoyable HD experience.

Another one of those, for me, "I didn't think it would look this good on Blu" releases.
[not along the lines of "Rocky Picture Horror Show" nor "Tales From The Crypt"; more like "Tora!, Tora!, Tora!" & "Bonnie & Clyde" IMO]

Enjoy!
