Energy Veritas return or keep?

Just wanted your opinion. I bought two Energy Veritas 6.3 and one 5.2C for $1458 shipped. Would I be hard pressed trying to find anything better for much more? I am within my return period and im wondering if I could upgrade to anything "better". Im willing to pay about $1000 more on top of the $1458, so a total budget of about $2500.

I did see these http://sacramento.craigslist.org/ele/2789377468.html but wasn't sure if that's a great deal or not and if they are much of a upgrade from what I currently have. I just want to make sure I have something im going to be happy with. I am going to audition a few speakers this weekend, but still wanted your thoughts so I know what speakers to look out for.

If Vanns gets the Boston Acoustics VS336 back in stock I would buy them instead. They are $600 each, over 65% off.

I would try the Ascend Sierra Tower and Ascend Sierra 1 center (with NRT tweeter upgrade to match the Towers).

I would second the Ascend Sierra recommendation having owned Energy RC's for ~3yrs and my Sierra NrT's are a definite step up. I know you have the Veritas and I've only listened to them breifly in store but IMHO they were voiced and sounded very similar to the RC's. Since you're looking at craiglist listings in the Sacramento area...Ascend Acoustics is located in San Clemente Ca it might be worth the drive(if not to far) and maybe you could compare the 6.3 vs Sierra?

that's about a 450- 475 mile drive from Sacramento to San Clemente with the last part in crowded LA traffic.

Yeah..that's a VERY long drive.... I guess if the OP really wanted to hear the Sierra's...I am sure he could easily get hooked up for a demo more locally.

Buyers remorse? The Veritas seem to be very good speakers. You need to audition as many speakers as possible, as you intend. The Studio 100 on Craiglist could be a good choice but I think the asking price is too high.

If you extend your search to the Bay area, you should be able to find an exceptional deal on a great pair of speakers. $2500 in the used market is the equivalent of $5-10K speakers at retail. You need to demo speakers to refine your likes and dislikes.
