Sharp 80" pricing - Page 42

FWIW my local Costco in Southern California is showing the 633 having a $500 discount until 11/4 which brings the price down to $3899. This is the cheapest I have seen at Costco for a unopened box.

FYI, if you print the below ad out from East Coast TV`s after adding the Sharp 80" 632u to the cart and entering in the additional 2% OFF with the word " Paycheck " the final price will be $3478.02.

Then bring the ad to your local Best Buy and they will match the price. You will have to still pay your state sales tax but it sure is worth it IMO if a problem occurs and you can simply transport the display back locally in a pick-up truck for an exchange within 30 days.

Just did this yesterday myself.

td I was actully confusing Abes of Maoine with someone else. Maybe Frys? I agree with what you have found about Abe's I wouldn't order this tv from them although i have bought stuff from them in the past. But as others are mentioning BB is supposedly willing to play ball until Christmas and price match. Although I saw they would price match legitimate online retailers, the article i read said they are giving more store level employees the power to match anything so the lowest price may be worth the trip to BB. Of course you will pay the tax but i promise you if BB would match Abe's they get my business regardless of tax!
Either way I think this tv is in my near future with an order perhaps over this weekend.

Cheers

My brother just went through a price matching exercise on a 632 and BB would not match a $3604 price. As low as they would go was $3799. So as usual with BB YMMV and by a lot.

Worked for me today on an 844U: $4,999 in store and $4,053.28 on the receipt.
IMHO they are leaving $$$ on the table: I was willing to pay more for the convenience and security of buying from them instead of some random web site.

We got the set today from ABT for $3700 out the door with a delivery. Seems like a pretty decent price for a local purchase.

Not too bad...I paid $3219 at Sears locally in July and no sales tax in NH on the 632

Yes, I got $200 off...I originally paid $3419 but got it for $3219

You guys have gotten lower than $3419?

I picked up a 632 from Buydig for $3419. Awaiting delivery now.

Their sale price was $3799, but they sent me a 10% off e-mail that reduced it to the above price. No tax for me & free shipping.

Coupon code was good for 24 hours only, so I jumped.smile.gif

$28XX from Magnolia AV on a their 90 day price match policy when I brought Costco's 632 close- out price to their attention.
I also did the same thing Over 5 years ago on a 57" Sharp with Magnolia, with another competitor,
I always buy from them on any major purchase, it has paid off well for me..YMMV...

Where did you find the info on the Costco closeout to give BB for matching? I looked around and cannot find it and my local costco only seems to have the 633U.

While I am still working through the 90 pages of the owners thread, biggrin.gif , I have pretty much decided on this set and am hot on the trail of this tv but want the best price.

Folks, has anyone had a good luck buying from Clevland Plasma? Seems highly reputable, well reviewed but I am for some reason getting answers in 2-3 days, tried calling too. I am interested in Elite 70" and Value Electronics is expecting stock in 3 weeks, but I know nothing about Value Electronics other than positive reviews here. Cleveland Plama ratings are high and when you are to spend that much on a TV you want piece of mind. Let m know about buying experience with CP. I have time and have been deciding on the set 2 months now, so 2 more weeks will not hurt, especially for a good price and service.

search is your friend

I did search (not a helpful statement about "search being a friend") and many are happy with Cleveland Plasma but my experience with CP was not amazing, Chris did respond to me via email but messages are super short even though to the point. I am more concerned that he did not return my phone calls, what if I need real help from him on delivery and post sale? If anyone dealt with CP post-sale how was it?

I purchased my Sharp 632U this month from AllTimeTVs online for under 3500$. It was a very successful purchase....friendly, non-aggressive salesman who knew his stuff, great price, no hidden costs. They shipped the day after I ordered the tv, and I purchased a White Glove Delivery so that I could see the tv running before the shipping guys left the house.

I was going to by locally, but Best Buy was reluctant to match online prices and so full of themselves and overpriced on their warranty that I said the hell with it and researched a reliable online seller.

It was really the best online experience I've ever had with a big ticket item. There is a small freight handling/insurance fee, but it is clearly mentioned online in the details...it's amazing how many negative reviews are posted due to people's lack of reading comprehension skills these days.

Anyways, this very nice, and huge tv is still on sale online at AllTimeTVs as of this posting on Wed. Nov. 21. They are a real company offering this great tv at an amazing price, and shipped mine off about as quickly as was humanly possible.

I am currently attempting to price a LC80LE844U and I E-mailed Cleveland Plasma. I E-mailed my request Wednesday but since I failed to call Wednesday I "missed" the Black Friday Sales price. Chris E-mails me a quote $100.00 MORE that the buy-it-now price they have listed on E-bay. I have watched the AVS forums for a long time as I build up theater room and was under the impression that Cleveland Plasma was the first place to price. Does not appear to be the case. Amazon listing beats the price from Chris by several hundred bucks. (and he beats himself on E-bay).

Nice find. I kept one in my cart at ectv who fluctuate their prices a great deal. At one point with the 2% off thing it dipped just below $4k. Nice price indeed.

Hey wait now, that's a great price to take to a reputable dealer to price match.rolleyes.gif
I wouldn't buy a $100 microwave oven from those guys. smile.gif

Buydig has been around for a fairly long time and I have purchased a decent amount of camera gear and electronics from them with no issues whatsoever. I really cannot explain why their resellerratings entry has gone to crap lately, though, but it is still 8 out of 10. I would buy from them through ebay without hesitation, but I understand why people may be more cautious.
I have bought from them before but the reviews certainly look a little intimidating. However, PM to your hearts content !!!!!!!!!!!! I would smile.gif

It's amazing that they had 31 available at that price.

I wonder it the supply chain from Sharp is ramping up.

Just bought the 632 from Amazon - shipped by "Electonix Depot". I like Amazon - as they'll stand up for the purchase...

$3699 delivered - no tax (still in transit - should get it Thursday). CostCo was $4K (+100 for extended warranty) + local tax (at $320!)

Am buying the Sharp extended additional 3 year warranty at $220 (sharp USA direct sales) once it arrives...

Amazon is just the payment processor in this purchase and the seller and distributor are not Amazon. Any issues and you have to work it out with the seller, not Amazon.
