Thanks for your responses, Mike, it's been very helpful!
the arms will pull out from the wall frame past your cabinet , when placing the display frame on the arm frame as long as the arms are fully extended it will be easy, with slide feature the centering will be easy as well . critical part with be the up/down centering , & 3 guys will be great as one to be the watcher to see how the attachment point lines up & advises up/down/right/left to the 2 guys doing the hold/lifting
I had just me & a buddy & it took about seven tries to get near the attachment point , the thing snaps & locks with a inward/ then down movement wink.gif

Wow, 7 tries!!! But at least, it was perfect when you finally got it mounted right? smile.gif

Thanks for your replies. I am now confident that I have purchased the right mounting arm for my installation needs! Yeah, the up/down attachment is the critical part, but that shouldn't be too bad with 3 guys!

I'll let you know how it goes, thanks again for your help!

Have an awesome Friday!!

yaeh cause the guys holding the display can Not see where the units connect , those 2 guys don't have line of sight
that why I said practice with the 2 parts before putting the frame on the back of the TV eek.gif

What will you do? What is your reasoning?

If you want a Squaretrade warranty DEAL, get it at Costco. They charge $99.99 and cover a full three years beyond the manufacturers warranty. This topic has already been beaten to death in the Sharp threads.

I bought the Squaretrade warranty, and I have no regrets. But then again, I have not had to try and collect under the SquareTrade warranty either.

Thanks for your reply. However, I think your reply should be towards hockeymouse. I'm not interested in the squaretrade warranty.

I know it's been answered but can't find it.

Can you buy the squaretrade from Costco but the tv elsewhere? I'm looking to buy this tv in the next 1-2 months

I think that's what costco is offering it at right now.. $1000 off. Is this a good deal? Or is it to be had for less?

Longtime lurker, got my 632u Thursday for $3299 at Paul's TV w/white glove delivery included. They had it on sale for $3399 and there was a $100 off coupon... I initially wanted to get the tv once I move next month but just had to get it at that price. Would have shared earlier had Comcast not taken their sweet time to come fix my internet frown.gif The coupon is gone, but it looks like the $3399 deal is still on!

Still the same amount....

Wow surprised that after over a year it hasnt dipped below 3k

I have the opportunity to get the display at Costco for 2800 and with the sq trade warranty for 2899? That give me 5 years of warranty (Costco extends the original warranty by 1 year and then the 3 under sq trade).

I really wasn't looking to buy a tv right now but is this one of those too good of a deals to pass up? Just looking for opinions on the deal, thanks

On an 80" model? Hmm well if you don't go get it right now you will ALWAYS regret it.

Displays scare me.
Whoever got the display should return it, sorry but unless they can tell you the hours, what setting it was on, and it was at least 25% off what a new tv of the same model I would pass.

With the new 80" model coming out in April, how low do you think the 844 is going to go and when would be best time to pick it up as discontinued from bb or costco?

I went to Costco to buy the vizio 70 for 1500 something. Saw the sharp 80 and I decided to wait. It was 3399 and I can't justify 100% more cost for 10 inches. I just have a gut feeling to wait it out. I could be totally wrong but I have my fingers crossed.

I saw the 70 Vizio. I do think its a beast for its price. I myself love the 80 Sharp but the price tag kind of discourages me too. At least i have a projector so i dont have a big screen problem :-)))

Bastard lol. I was going to go just the projector route but the amount of use and bulb cost made no sense. Plus when I have kids, soon, it's impractical.

TV was delivered last Friday, very happy with buytvtoday.com. Could't find a lower price on line. Took 2 weeks to be delivered, unfortunatly they only except checks, no credit cards.

Picked up the 80" 844 from Fry's on Saturday for 3799. The Fremont, CA store was willing to let us take the set home if we purchased their warranty rolleyes.gif

We ended up purchasing from Santa Clara, CA instead and drove it home that night after signing a release form

I am confused. They sold you a tv thats about to be replaced by a new model for a few hundred less than what you can get from other vendors then forced you to take their extended warranty?????

I hope you passed on that

No i think i know what he means. The 844 at 3799 is a good price, else where its over 4K.

He could not get it at the 1st place because either he had to buy extended warranty from them or let them deliver. 2nd place just buy and go. Thats how Fry's handles big screen nowadays.

So when does the window close to pick up the 844 before the new models come out and what's a good price then?
