Said their one day flash sale that the web site shows ending tonight goes into tomorrow. I just had to give up trying to talk with the guy and let him go.

BB matched Abe's of Maine. $3917

Even on a BB price match, is it worth buying there and paying the 7% tax. Circa $280.00, to be a local delivery?

BB matched BuySquad which has been offering the best online price during my 2-month research. Atm, about $200 less than Abe's of Maine.
Show BB the BuySquad current price on your smartphone, and they will match it. They did for me.
BB will add the $246 BuySquad Expedited Shipping cost, since BB will deliver to your home in 3 days, much faster than the Expedited 5-7 business day from BuySquad.
Local sale tax is partially compensated by the a) free GeekSquad ISF-certified calibration ($250 value?) and b) free 2 pairs of better 3D glasses model ($100 value). I got them.

The make-or-break deal to me was BB's 24-month interest free payment plan.

Looks like the 632U can be had for about $3500 now online, maybe a little less depending on the retailer. The next several weeks are probably the best time to buy as they try to reduce stock and make space for the newer models.

Anyone think this will go down a little more in the next few weeks or should we go now if we want it?

During my 2 months research, the price has been steadily going down. I don't see reasons why that will change now.
However, I would be concerned that the inventory may be depleted, if you prefer a Full Array backlit from 2012 models.

BB in St petersburg FL. would not match BuySquad when I went in today. They said the price was less than their cost.  Should I just buy it from Buysquad?

Thank for the insight.

I know I would.
If BB didn't pull out that price matching the other weekend, all along, BS would be my store.
  1. The current price at BS is already $75 lower than 10 days ago, when I decided to buy mine
  2. My 2-month long research, by all indications, shows that BuySquad is a very reputable on line shop. I always check here before making my decision: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Buysquad_com
  3. Nextag.Com listed BS is the most solid on line shop: a) earned Nextag's "Trusted Seller", b) has the highest number of buyers' review, c) got a solid 5-star rating from folks like us, and d) among the lowest price. Though Nextag.com shows two others have slightly lower price, BS' rating stands out: http://www.nextag.com/sharp-lc80le844u-80/stores-html
  4. BS' PayPal payment method would have been the deal maker for me. It means I can spread the cost into 6 payments without interest 'cause I integrated BillMeLater with PayPal

I believe you won't regret.
I was skeptical of the LE844U's PQ before seeing it at home. I'm so happy with it now, and can't wait to get the complimentary ISF-certified calibration from BB Geek Squad (not exactly same quality as independent ISF-certified calibration from what I heard), because I'm hoping the calibration will enhance/improve an already very excellent PQ.

Best luck!

$3,849 from BuyDig currently which is reputable IMO.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a 632 since supplies seem to be dwindling. I had decided early on that I only wanted to order from an authorized Sharp online seller like U.S. Appliance or Paul's TV. That's probably not a big deal to others, but my logic was if they will basically give me the same price, why order from someplace else.

In the end, U.S. Appliance said they would match the lowest prices on the internet from places like Buy Squad of $3,150. Paul's TV said they could do $3,175, but they would give me a $75 mail-in rebate which brought the price down to $3,100. Both places also threw in "white glove" delivery where they will actually help you power up the unit to ensure it works. Since Paul's TV will ship out of CA and I live in AZ (U.S. Appliance ships out of Michigan), I decided to go with Paul's. The money I save in sales tax will help pay for a professional ISF calibration.

Unit should ship out tomorrow and hopefully I'll see it in a few days.

For those still "in the hunt", I'd encourage you to actually call (or chat) with places like U.S. Appliance or Paul's TV and not assume that the prices they list on their web site are the best they can do.

thanks for the picture.
Its only in my local Costco (5 stores) I see only 633 and never 844, so I was interesting to confirm it.
I hope you didn't take it wrong.

Does anyone know the Costco item number for the 844?
730232 as from the image above maybe? Sorry I cannot be sure, but it seems like a good answer.
Any good online deals for the 80 inch 844?
Amazon had the 844 last week for $4099 and then sold out. The sellers on there now have it for around $4500 now.

Likewise, Amazon had the 632 for $3448 but just bumped it up to $3599 a few days ago. They still have them, sold by them.
