Glass when placed horizontally flexes up & down @ the slightest bump & that will cause the glass screen to fail .Horizontal lying glass has just so many cycles of the up/down action before the unseen faults in the pane start to fracture , it will fail even at very slight up/downs after a certain point .
If you do pick up in your P/U truck just secure it so that it standing up , much like you would if you were carrying a motorcycle . break the screen on the way home you are Toast for the damage . be careful !

I just got mine delivered an hour ago. The shipper was Pilot and (at least in front of me) treated it like it was their own. Also, they called ahead and kept me informed during the day of their schedule to get it to me.

I was in the same boat couple days ago checking the site and worrying they may not restock and the deal was off. I called yesterday and the salesman checked the inventory for me and said they are coming in today. He went ahead and took my order by phone early so i was guaranteed a set.

Still can't believe how good this deal is, $3697 delivered! Just 6 months ago, if you wanted something bigger than 70" the cheapest set in the market was the Panasonic for $15k - $20k!!

No, I don't think that is going to happen. I think dealer cost was around $3200 There was not huge excess inventory to begin with and the new model with 3D is only a few months away. That model may hit $3K at the end of the year, but I think this year model will be out of inventory once they blow them out at 3400-3500 this month.

I didn't think it would be this good after seeing things at a couple of stores. I set it up from post #150 in the other thread and it's pretty close but needs to be adjusted. It's miles better however than out of the box. Now, back to TV!

If anyone has any setup suggestions better than post #150 let me know. This setup is a bit dark for my taste but other than that it's nice.

Now I just have to reconfigure my set-up(cabinet) OR go with a wall mount
I think I might need a wall mount but one that swivels & tilts that way I can get the best viewing angle for the 2 recliners .


the guy buying my 60" is Jazzed as well .............

had check the site hourly in the last 2 days Finally they had them in stock !!

it's pricey but J&R has a deal on them
AND it has tilt ,extend,swivels, & most important to me it pans as in the mount will slide side to side so I can position the centering at will for seating of guests .
finger tip touch as the wife needs that with her bad back
