I just placed an order for a 65VT60 with of them. The price is $1849. They want to charge me 3% for using credit card, which is fine and tell me the tv won't be delivered for 10 days due to that. Also fine as in no hurry. Price is $1904.47 after the fee. We'll see how it goes.

Keep us posted on how it goes and if you actually get a brand new un-opened box.

Well since I have requested to use my credit card, I have not heard back from them. That was 2.5 hours ago. Not expecting to hear back, but with others seeing what happens with East Coast, I wanted to give this site a try,

I would never do a transfer except to my Nigerian friends... wink.gif

Doesn't look like they even attempt to be a legit company. They only want your cash upfront. Have not heard back from them since I insisted on using credit card.

But you were gun ho and I thought you paid already

Agree. Most likely not a legit company. I am not going to even attempt an order with them. Let us know if they reply to your credit card request.

Nothing from them further. I was thinking about emailing and asking them why they don't want to sell me a tv, but I think I am just going to let it go.

Yea lets avoid them moving on to new companies anybody ordering from that bh store that supposedly has 80 in stock

East Coast TVs seem like they have great prices and they look legit (lots of good reviews on them on independent websites). I may order from them or maybe wait to see where the 4k TV prices go.

This article will probably help >>>> http://hdguru.com/how-to-avoid-online-hdtv-dealer-scams-hd-guru-investigates/7910/

There are plenty of scan companies out there, anyone can "spoof" there own good reviews, of course they will not spoof the bad reviews, check your company of choice here >>> http://www.bbb.org/us/Find-Business-Reviews/

Bought the Sharp LC-80LE757 80-inch Aquos Quattron 1080p 240Hz Smart LED 3D HDTV from Amazon on oct 15th for $4028. Took advantage of Amazon's price protection on the 28th when the price fell to $3499 and was promptly refunded $528. Free shipping plus 2% rewards points...can't beat that. cool.gif

Anybody looking at an 80" Flat Panel should see what new HD Projectors look like first. I am sure there should be some sweet price drops for black Friday

Yea if you have the room set up perfectly for one of those Most don't have a dedicated dark barely lit room
post #1556 of 1603
Oh this is definitely not the case. With ANSI Lumens often in the range of 2,000-3,000 a perfectly dark room is no longer required to get a stunning picture at a fraction the price of an 80" Panel

I can make my room dark, but I had good projector & I didn't like many things.
The heat, the noise & the complete darkness.
Too expensive for me, 1 yr. almost $1000 in lamps.

I play PS3 for ave 4 hrs a day, golf & racing, computer , 4hrs, TV 4-6 hrs.
Sp a Dlp bulb, 2 a yr $45 each. $100 vs $1000.
I like the 73"dlp in light room & the Sharp or Vizio flat pannel 80 or 90"
Keep the projectors, Please. 12' with an 80" is imersive, without all the limatations of the Projector.
My humble experience, based on my experience.
My friend loves my projector is his dark cave, hidden from wife and family in the basement.
Where he loves it, a FEW hours a day for sports, football & movies.

I've yet to see a PJ get near the Pop that I get with my 80" Sharp in a fully lighted room
I've seen all the new PJ's & in my multi-use room they'd be a P I A in many different issues as stated above .
Yea defiantly pass on projector setup all day
post #1560 of 1603
