I managed to get Fry's (Houston, Southwest) to do one price match. They only match CERTAIN on-line vendors. Somehow, I doubt that US Appliance would make the cut. But, it is certainly worth a try. US APPLIANCE IS MOST DEFINITELY A FACTORY AUTHORIZED DEALER...Also, the item must be in stock at the matched on line retailer, which would make the match a moot point, since I believe the 632's are out again, at US Appliance! I am convinced that Fry's price match policy, is for advertising/marketing reasons, and has little to do with their attempting to cut their customers a break. When I got my price match, only one employee in the whole store had the authority/responsibility to do all price match transactions. She knew all the rules, and checked availability etc. etc. (ALL THIS to get a ~$10 cut on a $40 item!)
My 632 was the first TV I have purchased on-line. I finally took the plunge, because it occured to me that the B&M stores that I could purchase the same set from, had to get their stock by a truck, just like I would. In addition, the B&M stores had additional storage, loading and delivery risk ON TOP OF THE INITIAL FREIGHT EXPOSURE, WHICH WE BOTH SHARED. I figured that I could check the shipment and reject it if ANY LITTLE THING was not right. But happily, the set arrived in pristine condition.
