mike..do you or anyone else happen to know how the warranty direct with Sharp compare to the extended warrenty that Bestbuy pushes.... besides the fact that the BB warranty it is much more expensive

Thanks!

REAL SERVICE

One stop servicing , what I mean by that is Sharp would rather replace the Display than have you wait for parts, they would replace just on photos sent to them , they would replace just after one visit of a technician if he says it needs it . Sharp is more interested to keep the buyer happy than BB ever will be . Sharp knows if they keep you happy you will buy another Sharp . 6 Sharps so far in my house , each one I up graded to a new model & I've got 4 friends at work who are happy that I bought Sharp as they bought the older Sharps

Another one bites the dust! I put the order in with US Appliance today. The sales guy said I am third in line on the next pre-sales list. Expected delivery is mid to late June. I feel like I am taking part in a forum group buy. Pay now and wait, basking in anticipation.

I did ask one of the employees if they were selling a lot of these TV's and he replied that they had sold one or two in the few months he had worked there. I suspect that the fact that they are not aren't moving alot of these TV's lends itself to their willlingness to price match which is something that I have never had luck with at BB.

Thanks again!

No problem. Glad it worked out! Now, if I can only find some way to get a $ 50 rebate.

I was considering what Onkyo receiver might compliment the 632 best and Fastslappy answered it in the 844 thread (quoted below) with details about the chip sets I was considering. That cinched the decision to make Mike my referral. First thing I did after joining the forum was PM Fastslappy for his referral info as thanks for his input on the forum.

Thanks again Mike

the Reon was better then the Faroufja , but the improvements made by HQV Vida1900 bests them both .
If you must watch SD on these large sets then you will be best off getting a good processor that will up-scale to a acceptable PQ .The dual chipsets (HQV & Marvel QDEO) also clean up a compressed signal so yes they can improve PQ on a bad source. I'm really happy now with my DirecTV PQ outta the TX-NR1009 .

Someone should be asking you to be their referral shortly if they use an earned standard. After all, how many are using or will be using the Professional calibration settings you took the time to share with us?

Questions asked by my salesman for the phone pre-sales order referral you should be ready to PM are:

Name on US Appliance order
Date purchased
Order ID: usappliance-XXXXXX
Phone number

No sales are being made through the web sight since they sell out prior to receiving their next shipment. The person placing the order needs this info in front of them when placing the call to make the order. I hope this helps, Good Luck

That was just a short time frame that the 632 was in stock & you were in that period . Some entire shipments of 632 80" displays to US Appliance have sold out on pre-orders . Also If you do a pre-order they ship that order before they show up for sale on the website . Which is why the in-stock status is a short window of opportunity. In other words those are the units That Didn't sell-out as pre-orders .

Is their anyway you can take another photo that would show the price you paid and that its from best buy? I'm hoping to be able to use your deal for a price match with them. Thanks for any help.

How did you dispose of the shipping box your 844 arrived in? I was concerned that if I put mine out on the street, it would be an open advertisement for scum bags to mark my house for a heist. So, I waited until the truck was in front of my house before I brought the box out to the street. So far so good! (knock on wood!)

My town only picks up recycling thats been cut down, do I diced the box with a razor knife, and then stack of sheets went into the recycle bin with the lid on. The cardboard cut relatively easily, and the approach seemed pretty safe.

I know its a pain but why not save the box. If you ever sell it, having the box makes shipping easy ;-).

If I tried to save THAT box, I would be outside living in it! (At least I would have plenty of space!)

I actually have the space, but no, that's just tooo big, and if I ever sell it, I'll sell it locally. :-)

BTW - Anyone want a 300lb Sony XBR 40" tube??? (aka boat anchor with a spectacular picture)?

Do you still have the box?

Well, I emailed the general manager of my local Best Buy last Thursday and attached the pic of the receipt that was posted earlier. I asked for the same deal that the other guy received and I didn't get a response.

So earlier tonight, I emailed the district manager of my local Best Buy asking the same thing (and I told him I never received a response from the general manager) and within an hour I received a response from both the district and general manager.

To my surprise, they are going to give me the same deal!!! Plus 2 pairs of glasses, free home delivery, and 18 month no interest financing!
Did they offer the deal with a stipulation of anonymity or are you waiting to share the location until after the deal has closed?

A pic of the receipt when you're ready would be nice...

Guess bb is feeling the heat because in the past they wouldn't even consider this

Although I had no issues dealing with Paul's I would have purchased my 844u from BB if they were more price competitive especially for TV this size.

Thanks deArgila. Price match was no problem. Getting the TV on 2nd. Can't wait.

Thanks again.
