When you register on the site you get an 'account' one feature of which is a coupon section. They send you an email saying something like Thanks for signing up here's your first coupon. You click through, back to the site, and there's the 10% off coupon in the coupon section. It has an expiration date (something like a couple months) and applies only to the most expensive thing in your cart when you order. And it does apply to TVs.

I did all that, and could not locate the FINE PRINT for the website coupon, but here is the FINE PRINT on the printed coupon valid in the HH Gregg B&M stores...

Reason??? Must be the " Coupon cannot be combined with other coupons or offers." lingo.

So, I doubt that this coupon will have value (for me) prior to its expiration.

Anyone order from this store? AllTimeTVs If so, please let me know your experience. I'm gonna pull the trigger on the TV this evening.

You should try calling them and ordering over the phone. Reference your account and my bet is that they will honor the coupon even if it's couched as a discount rather than a coupon use. Said another way - they haggle.

Their reviews look kind of fishy to me. 99% of them occurred during January from first time reviewers.

Plus their return policy for large TVs is:
The 7 day defective exchange policy does not apply to TVs 32" and larger, any oversized product(s) shipped via our motor freight company (not UPS/FedEx), appliances or receivers. If any of these items are deemed defective, they will be covered exclusively by the manufacturers' warranties, and you must contact the manufacturer for any repairs.

Very interesting story. I'll be brief.
Purchased at Amazon. (Very Important: Sold by Pauls. Fulfilled by Amazon.

Paid $4100, understanding (to my best ability) that there was a price match for 30 days. Amazon touts this guarantee.

Received and installed the TV. Beautiful!!! Saw the price for $3700 at USAppliance. I called Amazon and they claimed the price match isn't valid.

Called Pauls, and they claimed it was Amazon's inventory. "Rep said Sorry, but it looks like it's in the Middle." Pauls' support was very indifferent. Amazon was apologetic but stood by their policy.

So Amazon had to take the TV back, instead of a $400 match. Reboxed, Used TV, and they pay the shipper to come back to my house.
Ordered from US Appliance, and actually had 2 TVs sitting here for a day. Amazon picked up their 80" tv.

i have purchased from Amazon for years and have never had an issue until now.

BTW, the TV is awfully nice, and big!!

It doesn't make much sense for Amazon to do what they did, as it'll most likely cost them more than $400 after the return costs and selling it again as "almost new." However, their price matching policy only applies to TVs sold by Amazon and not by third parties, and it's 14 days, not 30.

You might think that but many of these large retailers have merchant agreements on returns. In other words they pay nothing for shipping costs and returns

Amazon gte is only for products sold and fulfilled by amazon.

I think the idea is that it's going to cost "somebody" to now have to sell this set as used or like new or refurbished. One of those times when the supply chain is extremely inefficient.

All that said if big brother is watching I'll give you $3k for that open box set!

As for Us-Appliance. No issues. Delivery was on time. Guys brought it into the garage. Set is great, and I'm a happy camper. So's my neighbor down the street who is watching the NBA on my set.

Been stalking the sharp 80 threads for some time and i'm confused more now than ever. I keep reading prices will drop....just wait.....well?..... I have seen people posr that Clevland Plasma sells it for $3900....um no......$4200 as of today. ALLTIMETVS had it for $3937 for quite a while....now its $3956! Why does the price keep fluctuating? And the comman direction is upwards not down. Getting really impatient with no price drop. I wont be caught dead paying BB's inflated prices....hell I cant even find anywhere near here that carries the 80.... The idiots at BB didnt even know there was a difference between a quattron 70 and a non quattron...so ridiculous....i would never buy from a retail chain...

I actually had a similar issue when I brought a tv from Costco way back in 2005. Brought a 50" Panasonic for 2K, the next day it went on sale on their website for $1700. They wouldn't give me the difference, so I had to a return a perfectly good set and reorder from the website. Now they had an open box they had to sell for even less. Even spoke to the manager and he said it didn't make sense.
Anyway, I think $3500 is going to be near the bottom for this set. The 2012 models are coming out and it looks like the old inventory is going fast as the price drops.

I went all the way to the final page, and I can confirm that the 80 is in stock, and the price is indeed $3,697 shipped, no taxes.

(I used a credit card that also requires you to enter stuff to get the charge to go through. So no chance of ending up with one before I reallly want it! Hmmm, now there's an angle I hadn't thought of!!! Reckon the WAR DEPARTMENT would believe...)

I printed out the final page, I may go to Fry's, and try to get a price match on one.

US Appliance is owned by ABC Warehouse. ABC is authorized and on the Sharp Website. I spoke to US-A about this and they told me they are authorized due to their relationship with ABC. I suspect it all goes back through ABC Warehouse.

I believe I saw a list price of $6,400 - that is the new 3D, 240Hz set.
