Sharp 80" pricing - Page 31

Sharp extended warranty is $219.oo for 4 years & 3 months & you can get it when you register the display with Sharp after the purchase . Sharp has a very good track record with replacing displays with better or same models,no hassle quick decisions on the decision to replace, a pick-up & pack old display when the new replacement is delivered.

Last day at Sears for a LC80LE632 for $3499.00, plus free shipping, tax of course. I was contemplating getting it but then I read the delivery faq, they just deliver it in box on your living room floor (if that is your desired place). Heck, I would want it at least unpacked and plugged in so that I can check the screen for cracks. Oh well.

Frys has the LC80LE844U for $4499.00 on this weeks sale.

Sorry, I drove off and thought I did that. 4499 it is.

Yep, quoting my own post, went to BB this morning to see if they could price match Sears and lo and behold Sears has it for 3324.99. BB price matched it and free delivery and setup. Now I wonder what I could ask for my excellent condition 5.5 year old Samsung HL-T7288 with extra new bulb?

Well, I'll take 2...I checked frys.com and they quoted $4,449 , for the Houston stores.

Once upon a time, I got Sears to price match a Fry's misprint of an $899 TV for $399 less 10% of the difference. or another $50 or $349 + tax plus10% gift card for using a Sears Credit Card. The thing was, I did not know that it was a misprint. I just wanted an additional 10% GC for using a Sears Card. Since Fry's steadfastly refuses to honor misprints, they still had sets left in stock for the Sears Associate, to confirm by phone, and she was careful enough to not confirm the price. This was back in the old days, when Fry's advertised Brand model and price. (January, 2008)

Hi folks, been a lurker for years, decided to come in out of the shadows and return some of the help I've gleaned off of you. Sears has an even better deal now (just for today, supposedly), 5% off of the $3499 for the LC80LE632 that Sepen listed. That ends up at $3324.05. Sears is not my favorite place to buy TV's from (the ordering process seems to get gummed-up often), but hard to argue with that price.

By the way, thanks for the help (and entertainment) over the years!

Thank you for this great pricing info!

Printed out the Sears price and headed over to Magnolia A/V and got $150 back on their 90 day price protection for my 80 632. This will make my Sharp warranty essentially only cost me $29 more out of pocket. (If you purchase the TV for less than $3500 the warranty drops from $219 to $179).

For those still looking for the 632 (at Sears price) but missed out last night, they're BACK. The catch is 20 days delivery, but that price worth it.

the Sears deal must be over. Sears.com showing the 80 inch 632u for $4499 now.
when I put it in the cart, it dropped to like $4200, but nowhere near the $3500 price people were talking about a day ago. If someone can find it at that price, could you please post a link? Thanks.

Not sure what's going on with these LC-80LE632U's but thought I was ready to make a move since I've been watching this thing from day one. The price seemed to stagnate at around 37-38 and is not dropping, looks like supply is getting low and demand has stayed up. I looked around a bit for Fathers day sales and not wanting to pay tax or shipping the options were limited. Several sites have this thing fixed above the 4K mark with deals being hit or miss. I went to my fall back position and called US Appliance and the guy there actually talked me out of getting on the waiting list. He mentioned something about the supply of these getting really low with no guarantee from the manufacturer that even they could fill their waiting list orders. Did some more searching and Paul's TV is selling these as Fathers day discounts at $3799 until June 16. Just thought I would share my experience for those sitting on the fence. I might move on this or wait til the end of the year, or black Friday for the next non-3D model.

East Coast Tvs 844---$4,358.00
East Coast TV's has the 844u for $4270 right now with their current 2% promotion. (Promotion code is "PAYCHECK")
Also, I heard from a friend yesterday that he saw the 632 model at a Costco for something like 3300 (or maybe even less) for anyone who is interested.

Ideally I wanted to get the 844u closer to 4K, but I really only have a few more weeks to wait before I need to buy something, so not sure if it's going to go for much less than the 4270.

Bought in store @ Best Buy for $4499.90 + tax - about $90 in reward zone dollars & 2 free pairs of glasses & a very easy 30 day return policy
I am happy with the deal

My local BB has the Sharp LC - 80LE632U listed at $4,499.99, before tax. Whats everyone getting these for a BB? I know it depends on the store but what kind of offer should one make?
That's pretty price for the 632. You can get an 844U for around 4499... As I said check costco or online deals, you should be able to get the 632 for the mid 3000's.

So what would be a good price to get BB down to and have a piece of mind of bringing it home today?

You probably won't get them to budge unless another store has the set on sale -- which none do at the moment (as far as I can tell). Most online retailers have the 632 for sale around ~4k, while BestBuy has a steady price of 4.5k. As others have stated, a fair/good deal for this set is around ~3.5k. Sears had this set on sale a week or two ago for ~3.2k (plus tax).

Alright thanks.... Just saw you're from Syracuse.. Not to far from me.

Just checking some things for the day when I actually break down and order this TV.

The wall its going on is my living room wall and its a little over 15ft with a doorway to the left going into the foyer. So the actual wall is 12ft. So I'm trying to decide what it would look like center of the room or center of the 12ft section and looking where my studs fall.

What is the mount everyone is using and will it hit 2 studs or more or is 1 good? I won't need anything fancy, I need it to be flush as possible and maybe a tilt.

Looking at the tape I put on the wall to simulate the TV, putting in the center of the room on the wall looks a bit funny with the doorway to the left so I'm probably going to cheat it to the right and find a spot off center of the room but closer to center of the 12ft section.

I guess I also need to know how far in from the sides of the TV will I need a stud?

I'm looking at it and I'm also wondering if the mounts use 2 studs next to each other or does it skip one in the middle?

Here is a picture with the tape so you can see what I'm talking about. The little tapes in the middle are the studs in that area. I kind of like where the TV is right there I just want to make sure that is where it can go with whatever mount I get. The one I'm using now has a slotted back where I could probably hit whatever stud I wanted. Just want to make sure the new one is kind of the same.

As you can see the living room has a doorway to the left on the same wall and a opening to the right to the kitchen. Not ideal but it is what it is. Viewing distance is 10ft but will maybe need just a little tilt down with the big center speaker in the way. Oh to get an idea of how big the 80" TV is thats a 47" vizio in the picture.
