Thanks Paulo for such a nice thread.
I'm the proud owner of a Sony HDR-SR11 from early 2009 and it's been quite the champ for the past 3 years. My biggest complaint of course, is the horrible low-light performance.
I'm now considering upgrading to one of the newest camcorders out there and Sony has bode well for me in this area of electronics.
Is my understanding correct that the successors to my model were the XR500V and XR520V, which were later outdone by the solid state models CX500V, 550V, 560V, 700V, and now the latest 2 (580V and 760V)? So in essence the 760V is the top of the line, not considering 3D and Light Projector?
In the article it states 24p recording, is that correct or is it 60p/24p??
Other than flash memory (and in turn better battery consumption), 1080p vs 1080i, 24 Mbps vs 16 Mbps video, GPS, better steady shot, and low-light performance, can I expect any advantages from the 760V over my SR11?
Do you know of any 2160p (or 4K) Camcorders (similar form factor to these) out there or coming out this year?
Sorry for all the questions but I like to be an informed shopper. I do appreciate any answers that you guys/gals can provide.
Cheers,
Turbo
