Is there anyone that has successfully gotten this thing to stream movies, videos, whatever, from a Windows 7 based Desktop PC? I've done everything and can stream perfectly from my XBOX 360 and even my Sony Blu-Ray player, but this freakin' thing will not play any of my content. It starts to play it then won't.
Turned in a support request two days ago, and still have not received a response on its failure to play any video format (even those listed as compatible).
They have 20 more days to fix it, or I am calling for an RMA and returning the unit for a refund (you have 30 days). Ill eat the 10% restocking fee.
I haven't checked this site since August as I never received a e-mail for a up-date. I know a lot of guys were disappointed in it but they obviously never posted back to let us know how or if they got it fixed. Still wondering myself.
Haven't used mine all that much either, I think this will get me to fire it up again and put some miles on it.
How about you ? How is yours working out ?
I hope PJO1966 posts back with his experiences to see if anything has changed.
By the way, thank's for the link. Never knew it existed.
Thanks for the link. I've been all over that site for the last few weeks. I looked in here because I'm always looking for more sources of information. I've been through there and YouTube. I still haven't found as much info as I'd like. I'm looking for more info on using the Co-Star with a TiVo. I searched through tivocommunityforums too.
Answer if finally "yes", as latest software has dedicated Amazon and VUDU apps. They're well done too.
So what are your thoughts on this unit at this time? I've never had a GTV device, and need some kind of streamer for the upstairs TV. (Currently using a Wii just to get some Netflix up there...ugh!) I know these boxes aren't great for local content, but can they do anything in this area? Netflix and Amazon are all I'd REALLY need out of it, but some local support would be nice.
Vudu isn't working on the Co-Star for me and as far as I know everybody else, at least with the latest firmware. There is a thread at Vudu Forums requesting a fix but no real promise of anything, other than than Vudu is looking at it. Vudu works on the NSZ-GS7 another Google TV model and probably all other second generation Google TV models. Nothing but a black screen will play on the Co-Star although trailers will play, it has the appearance of a DRM problem.
Just purchased the VAP430 and very disappointed. 2 apps I wanted to use are not on it and not showing up when I go to the Play Store, iHeart radio & Crackle. Anyone know how I can get those apps on my VAP430?
