wo thanks guys. so which Dune box do I get? also does it automatically pull all the cover art as soon as I put a new mkv file on my NAS like boxee which refreshes every day/hour etc?

I sold my PCH-A210 and just ordered a Dune TV303D. None of the media players I've mentioned automatically update the jukebox. You will have to do manually via your PC.

I've had the PCH-A400 for a week or so and I couldn't be happier. I'm stunned by the amount of criticism. Everything plays flawless. No connection issues.

great question. the reason i liked boxee is it did all the work. point it to a directory, rip a new mkv to that directory and there's cover art. no brainer.

I was actually thinking putting a mac mini running plex media server in front of my synology file server, then have roku3 boxes at the tv running plex as the client. or better yet, buy samsung tv's that have the plex client already on there.

Depends if you are going to be playing a lot of 3D movies then I would suggest the Mede8er since it is more stable for 3D content. If your mainly want it for 2D the I would definitely say YAY. I'm bias towards Dune since I own two of them (D1 and TV303D). I owned PCH-A210 and A300 got rid of both. Had a Mede8er MED500X2 sold it as well.

I have a 2tb drive attached to my router, currently getting 60-65 Mbps write and 70-80mbps read at TV and bluray ends, to which I stream through DLNA. Getting the Premier Dune HD 3D box in a few weeks, is this LAN speed fast enough for streaming True HD and DTS MA HD?
