PC Mode + Gaming On Plasma?

I have a samy Plasma 59d550. Someone mentioned that PC mode made their picture quality better for gaming.

What exactly does PC mode do? I dont see it effecting picture quality or else you would solely use that mode for everything.

And on plasmas input lag is already quite low, so whats the benefit of PC mode and does it increase PQ in gaming?

My guess would be PC Mode uses the Full RGB Mode (0-256). If you enable PC Mode on your TV, make sure to go into display settings or Nvidia Panel and change the color to 0-256.

This is just a guess though tbh.

Hmm on xbox if u set to expanded reference levels it allows full rgb. So i guess pc mode is useless fir xbox n ps3

PC mode usually has dynamic mode on, other than that a plasma doesn't really have much use for it lol

The main benefit of putting your tv in PC mode while gaming was to always get lower input lag. Other then that I really wouldn't bother with using that mode.

On my Samsung plasma, I have to switch to a PC mode in order to turn off overscan. It disables a bunch of other options and does also decrease input lag by about 30ms (according to Rock Band 2 calibration).

And I actually do just leave it on PC mode all the time, since I just use the one input on the TV and do my video switching through the receiver.
