RX-V671 remote

just hooked up my RX-V671 to my sony bravia via HDMI, works great, my TV remote automatically controls the yamaha receiver but the yamaha receiver doesn't control the TV. i looked in the guide under "programing the remote" but it looks like this is for other components. any ideas?

do you have simplink enabled for the receiver and TV? (this is HDMI remote control of said device)

In order for the receiver to control the TV, the TV and receiver both have to support what is known as HDMI remote control and it has to be enabled on both devices.

i enabled the HDMI so the TV now turns on the remote, should it not work the other way?
