Without breaking the no pricing rules can someone tell me who "ve" is, or pm me the info? I'd like to knoiw about the gt50 with 310.

It's not even out, or priced and you sound pretty sure of this.

LG thinks enough of it's future they are working like crazy to be out before Samsung, and I'm guessing Samsung is doing the same thing.

OLED will displace LCD and Plasma in mid to high end displays within 5 years.

As far as picture quality, the absolute best HD display available right now is the Sony broadcast OLED model that nothing can touch in spec from it's ultra high dynamic range, it's source beating color range to it's zero MLL.

Samsung is focusing on tightening it's fists on everyone's $$$$ and ensuring that no really good deals can be made.

I'm hoping that Panasonic takes the same position that LG does: LG's first priority is to continue to assure that consumers understand the value that LG brings to their lives through our products. We worked hard last year to revitalize our MAP program to assist our retail partners in doing that. We're very happy with what we've accomplished on that front, and we'll continue our focus on our primary goal. We'll also continue to monitor the marketplace, but at this time, we just don't think it's the right approach to insert ourselves in between our retail partners and their customers in terms of selling prices, which is what a UPP program does. LG doesn't have any plans to put out such a policy.

Pics please! I'm interested in what the final bezel looks like.

Also, if you could comment on the following:

1. Build quality. Last year's bezels were apparently poorly made and were "wavy".

2. PQ perceptions next to the PND8000.

3. Any fluctuating brightness? (try hockey)

4. Practical differences between the PN8000s and PN7000s.

5. Any perceived buzzing issues?

E550 and E6500. Chad is on a calibration tour I just tried calling him. He is working on two reviews now for the TC-P55ST50 and LG 60PM6700.

Oh man. I was just on the phone wiith Samsung asking why I have not yet recieved a call from kw about my delivery and was about to complain when the door bell rang. It was the delivery guy standing there, lol. I was like ummm, no one even called me so your going to have to help me pack my d8000 and bring in the new e8000...right. He did, and I quickly plugged in the Samsung pn60e8000 and all was fine. I have to go shopping with the wife and daughter but when I get home tonight I will give it a good look over and let you guys know what I think. I will take some pics for you guys too. Hopefully I will get home soon.

Looks identical to the d8000 bezel and stand wise. Minus the camera of course. No pics yet just put it up 20 minutes ago. I'll try to get a couple before I leave tonight. Pq seems improved slightly but haven't tried any real material on it. We got the 51 and 64 no 7000 yet though.

By the "same", what's your perception of the quality of the bezel? Any issues you see?

I thought the e8000 had the Titan black bezel this year with the black stand. Is that not accurate?

I would like to know if they added some sort of motion judder cancelation feature back into the menu. My C8000 had it... Didn't work great so instead of fixing it they took it off of the D8000... A great feature to have when the chipset works correctly. Just curious if the E8000 has it.

Wow took me forever to figure out how to login on my new iPad wow I must be getting old.. The bezel is a tiny bit darker black is an exaggeration. And the same chrome crow feet.. I have a couple of crappy pics from my phone I will upload in the morning. To busy playing with the iPad. And I will check on the judder control on sunday when I work next if no one has answered by then.

Well, name is Vince. Just purchased the pne8000 plasma yesterday. I also own last years pn59d8000. As far as picture goes I do not notice a difference. Maybe it's me and my eyes but looks the same. I do have to say sound is ten times better and not a single peep of buzz. Blacks are great but same as last years. Voice recognition works ok, sometimes can't hear me. The motion doesn't work cuz it keeps saying room not bright enough. Need to play with it more. Any questions?

if no difference in black level, it's better buy the D8000...

Yes David got a pair of the feather lite glasses. The blacks are the same. Everything the same except the smart hub is in high def. the stand is chrome not black but the bezel is black where the pn59d8000 was grey. Picture I do not notice a single difference. The tv is nice but for the price get the d8000 if you are not into features. If you like the extra stuff e8000 is great

Are you sure you have the right calibration? First reviews indicated that the black deepness increased by 30% on the e8000 compared to the d8000. So logically it should be noticeable...

And yep, it would be great if you could provide pictures of your e8000

Yes I will post pictures. I have black tone set to darkest. Yes the blacks are great but no difference to my 59d8000. Both have awesome blacks but to me they are identical. The other thing I'm not sure on and maybe someone can help. I notice I have my sharpness set really low like 20. When I turn sharpness to like 50 picture looks so much better and detailed. But everywhere on the Internet and sales people say sharpness should be set even to 0 if maybe. But looks better higher. What's everyone opinion on sharpness. Please help and yes posting pictures.
