You can say it till the cows come home, but you're quite wrong. I rectified that situation last year by sitting in a transfer room at Foto-Kem and having them show me every permutation of DNR and edge enhancement, from minor to major. I also know what film looks like. I also could clearly see when DNR become ridiculous - and frankly I would never use it and didn't on what I was transferring. But I wanted to see what it would do, how it worked, and the varying degrees. Ironically, I didn't see it on what I was transferring, but on the Disney film, The Love Bug, which is filled with a humungous amount of opticals and multi-pass opticals at that.
