i'm currently running my 683 with a 12 year-old previously top-of-the-line denon avr-5700 receiver with a specced 140 w/ch. i was looking for an incremental upgrade to my STEREO system and was looking for input on the following pairings:
A) set of 683 paired with a rotel rb-1582 200 w/ch class AB amp
or
B) set of better b&w cm9 paired with the existing denon avr-5700
so what do you think would sound better? choice A is a stronger amp making a better overall pairing. choice B is a better pair of speakers (exactly twice the cost of the 683) with an inferior amp. thanks for your input.
