Klipsh or energy sub

If you have the room the Klipsch is probably the better alternative. The Energy seems to be well liked, but all things being equal I'd vote for the sub with the larger driver.

I've only heard (and owned) the Energy. It's wonderful at its current sale price, a terrific performer with music. The Klipsch will play louder but some people say it's not so great with music.

I bet the Klipsch would be more thrilling with movies and the Energy more impressive with music. Just keep it in mind that the Energy doesn't have quite the same output as the Klipsch. They have about the same published frequency response.

I'd go with the Klipsch. I have the rw-12d and it performs nicely for movies. There are better subs out there for music but they also cost considerably more.

You can get a better music sub for not much more.

I have 2 - Energy V-SW10 subs, VERY happy with music & movie performance.

You are right now that the Klipsch is no longer on sale. I actually upgraded to the SVS PB12-NSD. It was considerably more though.
