Small detachable stereo mic?

So I recently bought an Nikon D5100. Was looking to purchase a small detachable stereo mic. Something I could easily attach/detach on the go and would get rid of the AF motor noise.

Rode Videomic is excellent. Mounts to the camera shoe and uses a standard mike jack. Great results for me.

Yeah I really like those, but they are a little bigger and mroe expensive than I wanted to go.

I was thinking something more along the lines of Audio-Technica ATR-6250 or Audio-Technica Pro-24CM or Cascade Audio Vive - Surround Sound Microphone or smaller if possible.

I debated this a long and for stereo I decided to go with the Zoom H1 with a mount like this H1 Mount
Check youtube for some pretty impressive recordings using this even on live concerts.
Also offers more flexibility.

I will add a mono Rode Videomic later but for stereo...this is my choice.

I have been using the Vive since day 1, when it was the SSM. Sounds good, but lacks anything below 100hz, might be due to what sounds like aggressive ambisonic type processing.
Played back through pl IIx, lots of discrete sounds from everywhere, amusement parks are a good example.
