After reading others comments, I went back and checked the rear channels. Were they a little low? Yes, but they were there.

Just to be clear yes there was sound out of the rears but it was very low.
Unlike the CBS game where they came alive.
IMO NBC does the best job of all as it relates to audio for sports.
