Which sub to go with Klipsch RF7 system OPINIONS NEEDED

Hello all.So here is the decision I need to make in the next day or 2.I currently have Klipsch RF7 fronts,RC7 center, and RS7 rears. So I have been talking to alot of the Klipsch forum members and of course they recommend the RSW15, which looks like a great sub.I have a chance to buy one for $750 and it is pretty much brand new.Now I also found a few other subs locally and curious if they would be better options. There is a SVS PB2 Ultra for $700 or an Definitive Technology Supercube 1 for $500.Now the sub will be for 90% movies. What to do.Thanks in advance.

And also my room is very small at around 16' x 14'.I am just curious if that is actually going to not sound good in that small of a room and the neighbors will most likely kill me too

JL makes some splendidly gorgeous subs, and they're solid, well reviewed performers. However, unless you are entirely in love with the aesthetics, you could quite possibly do much better for the money. To mate with the high output RF-7's, you're going to need some fire-power. What's your budget for a sub system?

Depending on your budget I would reccomend the HSU VTF-15h ... but that would be around $1k shipped

Sounds like you shouldn't get a sub. Anything that is likely to sound good to you is going to annoy the hell out of them.

If you would like to match there was a fella on here not to long ago that bought a Klipsch SW-115 subwoofer to go with his Klipsch speakers. He seemed pretty happy with the sub. There is also a SW112. You could also go with an Outlaw LFM-1 Plus or LFM-1 EX.

I will throw it out there, but I just ordered a pair of XV-15's from Power Sound Audio which is a new company and will begin shipping in the next week or two. Unfortuatly there is really no owner feedback on the subs yet, but giving the builders and the pricing, most likely cannot go wrong. For 700 beans you can get a solid 15" sub or step up to the XV-30 which is two 15" subs in one cabinet but over the 1K range.

PSA link, check it out

^^

I like what I see from PSA, time will tell.

One thing I take exception to is their own measurements, aren't measurements. They're simulations, ...and that's disappointing. That's getting picky really, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I wish them luck, more mfrs is always a good thing.

The only simulation is the room gain simulation. The others are 2m ground plane measurements.
