Bought a L/C/R...what surrounds?

So I'm finishing up an upgrade. I had a SVS SCS-02 5.0 system (SSS-02 surrounds). After auditioning the verus grand from aperion and the VS series from Boston, I decided to keep the VS (260 x 2 + 325c)

I was going to buy 2 more 260's for rear surrounds, but was worried about he rear port, since these will be bookshelf placed against a wall.

Can anyone recommend and good rear surrounds? My budgEt is up to $500 for the pair. I'm not too particular if their dipole/bipole or not.

Rest of setup is:
Pioneer sc-35
Svs pcs12-NSD
BA vs 260 fl & fr
BA vs 325c center

Ps I can't keep my SSS-02 set sinc I sold my svs as a set.

Thanks!

A good finish like the Boston - and they sound nice.
NHT Absolute Zero - they are sealed

As always, thanks for the suggestion - how do you think the E60 would fare? It's not sealed, but being front ported should work as a bookshelf, right? or do think it would be overkill to relegate it to surround duty?

Thanks for waking me up - The E60 is the one best suited, and it
will work real good with the VS260. The E60 is also rich with good
detail, definition and depth. The high gloss finish is real nice.

Hear is a review of the E60

One last question, and I promess I'll let this thread die peacefully.

If I cross over all speakers at 80 Hz, would it be a problem to have a rear ported speaker? Would much bass be sent to the rears to be noticeable?

I'm not adverse to the E60's at all, but -- if it doesnt affect sound quality -- would liek to stay in the VS series if possible.

thanks again!

The thread is fine - the forum is here to help.

I am still not a fan, of putting rear ported surround speakers in
a wall cabinet - however, the surrounds are mainly used for the
surround effects. If you buy another pair of the VS 260, for the
surrounds - then place some foam, or socks in the rear ports. In
the end, I am a big fan of timbre match surrounds.

2 more vs 260's are on the way. In the end I wanted to say as timbre matched as possible.

Thanks For all the help Jim!
