Scenario:
DVD/BRD rips will be stored on the HTPC
HTPC will also have pictures and Music as well as home movies on it as well.
HTPC will have a Tunercard.
HTPC will be Wired to a network
HTPC output will be through an AVR and ultimately a Tv via HDMI
Will be Running Win7
Kids need to be able to run this thing. We're talking grade school kids here.
My question is this:
Which would be the "better" solution? Knowing "better" is subjective, What I'm looking for is ease of use, "One stop shop" if you will.
I would like the family to be able to open one application and open any of the media.
What would be the easiest solution for them? Set up and Maintenance is not an issue. (of course, Less is preferrable, it's not a sticking point)
What I want to avoid:
Having them open WMC for recorded TV, and XBMC for everyhting else.
Opinions are welcomed here folks.
