How do you register for Epson's warranty?

I just got my 8700 and I didn't see a registration card or anything. What do I have to do to get my warranty setup?

Nothing. You'll just need your invoice as proof of purchase when you send it in. I've mailed mine in 16 times! :-)

Can I just print out the email I got from crutchfield with the sales invoice, or should they have sent me something?

And WOW! 16 times! Did I buy a bad projector?

No you didn't. Every projector has it's faults. With Epson all you have to do is complain about some minor fault and they send you a replacement. The replacement comes with a new bulb. Now guess why some people get a warranty replacement from Epson.

My 6500ub has a slight reddish tint in the top left and bottom right corners. Epson has replaced a projector (8100) in the past for me for that same "problem". It's only noticeable in really dark scenes and then only when you're looking for it. Epson will eventually replace this one for me if it doesn't go away. Of coarse I'll give it 1500-2000 hours to see if it clears up

You can register online but keep your receipt. The last time I got a warranty replacement I had to email them a copy of my receipt. After doing that I got the replacement the next day.
