Sounds promising. The X30, X70 and X90 only V stretch for 1920 x 1080 mode (2D and 3D?) and not 4K from all sources on the internet. So if they were using the VC Lens, did they have an external scaler or were you simply watching HD not 4K?

Like pincushion, it is actually on all 4 sides, but because of the longer throw required, it is less obvious than pincushion with a HE lens at the same size image. This is why you can use a VC on a flat screen with no issues where you do see pincushion with HE lenses.
