alright i trying to figure what we need for the gtg. for those whom are able to bring a sub please post them. I would like to limit maybe 7 to 8 subs to audition to keep things manageable. Once we have a list of subs, then we'll poll which sub make the cut.
we will also need some demo material so if anyone has something to offer please let me know.
we will need some measuring equipment and measuring expert. anyone?
i may hit up on Onixman's offer as he has some outstanding speakers.
My equipment are
denon 4310
dcx
ati1505
full set kef xq and zaph zrt
i will post some picture of the room soon.

I'd be happy to provide any of the material used for the 2011 or 2012 kc sub meets.

I recommend a piece of freeware called mptrim to trim mp3s without affecting quality. And dvdfab and tsmuxor to chop up dvd and blurry scenes. Those were the three pieces of software I found most valuable for the kc meets.

Depending on the date (can't make the 26th) and if I can steal a truck or van, I can bring a DIY sealed LMS Ultra 5400 or two if you can fit it in your room. I also can bring my Revel F52s if anyone is interested. I also have REW and measuring equipment I can bring. I'm not a REW expert though. About all I know is how to spell it actually. I can also bring a Balanced 2x4 MiniDSP if anyone is good with configuring them quickly for each sub.

So in recap here's my list:

DIY sealed LMS Ultra 5400 x2
Revel Performa F52
Balanced 2x4 MiniDSP
Behringer EPX4000 amp
Laptop with REW and calibrated mic, stand and SPL meter

If someone has an LG FP14K clone to power my sub that would be great. Mine is the 220V version so it may not work for this.

Nb67 offer to bring seaton subm hp.

Things have change a bit, it will be on may 12 unless someone oppose. My wife has plans for may 19, so that date is a no go.

The 12th will work for me too.

datranz,

Are you a Headfi member? Your house looks familiar.

Sorry, I haven't have much time to gather all the info yet. I'm still reading over with my iPhone. I should get a list of subs and attendees by this weeken.
What time should we get there?

Here's a list of what I can bring:

2 DIY sealed LMS 5400s each in a 3.5 ft^3 box. Can bring 1 or both.
Revel B15a sealed sub
DIY dual JL Audio 10w7 in sealed 2.5 ft^3 box. Should be the equivalent of a pair of Fathom F110 sans amps and ARO.

Will need the amps to drive them though.

is anyone welcome to attend?
I would be interested i can bring ep2500 if needed
Thanks

You should bring one of your subs and we can do a side by side audio comparison.

I already know I'll lose in the looks department.

Oh quit it! Your cabs look amazing! Besides, anyone can pay someone to do a job. It takes skills to do it yourself!

I'll see what I can do about bringing one down. I should have the quads up and running by then, so im definitely gonna need help moving a stack around.

It doesn't look good for me to make it that day but I do have a M-Audio Mobilepre USB and Galaxy CM140 I can let you guys borrow for running REW tests. It would be better with a calibrated Cross Spectrum calibrated mic especially for subs. If anyone buys one then get the Basic Plus model since it is more versatile for only $5 more.

Here is a video tutorial made by GIK Acoustics on using REW. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet but I hear it's good.
